i just happen to be a fan of all japanese performance cars, from the eclipse gsx to the skyline r34.

Theres nothing wrong with being a Z enthusiast. Heck people always call the MR2 the Supra's "Little Brother" but that doesnt change the fact that I'd prefer an MR2. Thats what an enthusiast is all about, unconditional love for that car.

PS I think the MR2 and the VR4 shouldve been in this poll

PPS I think VR4 is good and all but MR2 would own it on the track (not in a straight line)

PS Drop any engine wit 200 hp in a AE86 and do some mods to it u got a kick *ss car

well thats hard to say, no doubt form what i've heard the mr-2 out handles the vr4 with ease, but it would be playing catchup the whole race, average time for the mr-2 in the quarter is what 14.5? while the vr4 is 13.5. that definetly makes a differrence vr4 makes way, awd and aws. not sure myself who would win, i guess it depends on the track, a track with more curves maybe mr-2 but track with lots of straights maybe vr4

Agreed, but then again how easy is it to get into the 13's w/ an MR2. You could do it with a 50 dollar MBC.

It's lighter weight helps for better braking and faster entry speeds, and its exit speeds, giving it an initial acceleration advantage in the straights, thats why its never exactly left behind in a straight.

There is a black 3KGT MR Best Motoring race and the MR2 Turbo stays ahead of it the whole time, and Tsukuba has a very significantly long straight.

yeah cause i was gonna say a boost controller in a vr4 will put it in the 12's. but i mean you seen the race and the mr-2 won so that goes to show which is best in handling. or were the cars modded or just stock

Actually freakscort, the reason why it shouldn't be called "import" is because not everyone is from the USA on here. The internet is all around the world, so someone from Japan can be reading this, and it wouldn't be an "import" to him/her.

For me, 300zxTT. It's the first car that I saw and thought "I have to own one of these". There have been few cars since then that have instilled that everlasting thought into my mind.

i would go with an ae86.... not because some loser (c above) said that they can be a kick ass car once they have a 200hp motor in them but because they are a kick ass car. It is inspiring to watch these cars absolutely own GTR's and others in touge and stuff like auto cross. or the guy who won D1 with a NA sprinter with 230hp, beating other cars with 400hp+.... they dont need power, they are the king of the tight winding road.... by the way why is the s14 a choice but not s13/s15 ? s14 was actually the worst silvia ever made..... anyone will tell you that.
