Re: Need some opinions on some cars

Mid engine isn't bad in snow or rain. All the weights where you need it anyway

Well yeah granted the initial power on the Celica's is a little low but being that they are light makes up for it.. Also any horepower gain from any modification can be felt.. All weather intake w/ K&N filter, and a street exhaust is enough power to make you smile at least.. Like I said it's Toyota's Sports/Economy car ..

Now if it's just power you want then your looking at the Supra's or the All-Trac.. Speaking of the All-Trac that might be a good way to go for you, can't beat AWD and it has some nice power to it with decent fuel economy.. Try looking into one of those instead, you might like it..

Cool, thanks Sypherz28. I'm looking into some Celicas. I'm not looking for something that is incredibly powerful, I would just like a car with decent pick up. I am told they handle pretty well, so they would be fun to drive it sounds like.

I don't like the new Celica's ( 7th generation) as much as the older ones but I mean it's a matter of preference.. Test out the new ones and some older ones, they vary here and there..

The '91 MR2's are the older boxy'r style right? (Ah regardless do up the MR2!!!). Back in high school my buddy had a late 80's boxy MR2 - we called it the golf cart cause it was so damn small.

I definitely agree it can be a death trap. I remember riding shotgun in the car going up to the cottage one time. My bud's windshield had this long ass crack from like his side to mine, and I remember thinking I was going to die when we hit 240 km/hr on the freeway - the entire car was shaking, and I was just waiting for the thing to take air!

Wicked fun car though. Also had (now that I think of it) the best sounding exhaust I have ever heard in my life (sorry baby ). That thing was like an F1 car.

The boxy ones are the first generation which ran from 85-89, then the rounded ones came for 91 - 95 in North America. I love all generations of MR2s.
