You did read the first part of what he said didn't you?

Hes gettting laid off work, meaning a crappy Primera will be all he can afford. (sorry to hear about that by the way Jimmy, but there are heaps of Jobs in the paper at the moment)


With its simple Beam axle rear suspension and last century engine design, (how old is the SR? mid 80s?) the Primera is a simple car and so the natural choice of the unemployed and lower class the world over.

Technology isn't really top of my list when I buy a car (Would buy a Mondeo if it was) The more fiddly bits there are the harder they are to mod (Thats what I found with my 6O7).

As for it being a car of lower class families, P10 maybe but the P11 is the choice of the middle class.
