Re: 94 Del Sol w/B16a JDM swap California ?s

The USDM Del Sol VTEC used the P30 ECU from '94 - '95. This is an OBD1 ECU and should be compatible with your motor.

Re: 94 Del Sol w/B16a JDM swap California ?s

Thanks again for the info guys. I spoke with the CHP... They said the vechicle MUST be street legal if I drive it in for the VIN verification. They also said if I trailer it in then it doesn't matter - sounds like the way to go! I will then deal with the state ref and smog. Looks like the AEM cold air intake has a CARB# and so does the DC header. What about Trust exhaust, been unable to find any CARB info??

Anyone know how to identify the ECU that is currently on the car? I'm assuming it is the gold box that is mounted on the passanger floor - It does have a sticker with numbers on it...

So... the P30 ECU from 94-95 will work with a B16A from 2000? Just making sure. Anyone have a spare ECU?

Actually, I think you need the ECU from the motor, so in your case that would be a P2T, in which case you would have to get an OBD IIb to OBD I harness. Now I am not totally sure if you have to run the motors ECU, or if you have to have the comparible ECU for the generation of the car.
