No what im saying is this post was for a guy who had a problem with his lites being left on in his odyssey and he believes its everyones fault but his own. Then you come here and start all this bull shit and give examples of your Toyota Previa , Which by the way i myself own 2 toyotas, for no reason. If you have something to say about your odyssey then say it if not then mind your own buisness or start another post in the toyota forum!!!

Well, well, well. Before we speak of losers let me just advise you that my Odyssey was the victim of the loose lug nuts (duh). My post was in response to Mr. Kirchners blast of stupid customers in which he cited numerous models other than the Odyssey. I figured if he could blast stupid customers citing models other than Odysseys then I could cite others in our (stupid customers) defense. My mistake. I guess only perfect dealership employees can bend the rules. Once again the stupid customer is wrong.

Oh by the way...the Previa forum is pretty much empty. It seems only Honda losers spend their time bitching on Automotive forums. For my part, I am usually on the Accord forum HELPING people (based on my limited experience of 17 years of working on cars) and staying out of pretty much everything else. I just felt that customers got slammed unfairly and we should at least respond.

Their are stupid people everywhere in this world. If we all spend the time to educate people a little then maybe we would have fewer problems. Now there is a thought.....

Regards,
Robert

Re: DEAD BATTERY......again!!

Ahh i see so the lug nuts were loose on the honda and the radiator hoses were changed but the wrong ones and... Wait a minute the hoses were on the previa i believe thats what you said so since you were in the odyssey foruma and posted and i quote.

1- Lug nuts not tightened on wheel rotation.
2- Charged for R-12 recharge on an R-134 refrigerant system. When I informed the service writer I was TOLD that I was wrong. I lifted the hood and showed them the sticker (R-134 refrigerant). I was offered a free oil change and a refund the difference in price on the refrigerant (about $78.00).
3- Asked for radiator hoses to be changed and they changed the wrong hoses!!!
4- I asked for the EGR valve to be "checked" after a check engine light code yielded an EGR problem. They never checked it, just replaced it ($200.00). When the check engine light returned they discovered it was just a blocked hose. When I asked if they ever checked the EGR valve before replacing it all I got was a blank stare and then an accusation that I asked for it to be replaced.

You made it sound like the complaint was all on one car. Never did you differentiate between the 17 years worth of cars did you? Nope and if you had 17 years worth of automotive experiance then why didn't you do the work yourself!!

But more importantly you say the "customer" got slammed and rightfully so It was a stupid comment about Honda not having a timer to shut off the interior lites when you get out of the car. Thats a stupid comment you must admit that. and that is what this whole thing is about.

Typical dealership employee. Only noticing part of what is said. I NEVER said that all of these issues were from the same car. I also went back only 4 years (I once again remind you I was trying to be brief). I guess when you are not fixing cars you are a lawyer. I will try to remember to include every relevant detail in the future. Do you require the VIN # of the vehicle as well?
Why not slam Mr. Kirchner for his citation of different vehicles? Oh yeah, he works for a dealer too. Birds of a feather...

I guess the only way to end this is to say you are right. The users of the vehicles have no idea what they want and they always demand too much from the manufacturer and the service people. I should have known better than to match wits with someone so brilliant. I will go back to my job as an executive so I can pay someone to work on my car (which is why, after 17 years I don't ALWAYS fix my own cars). You can go back to your job as a...what is it you do again?

Humbly yours,
Robert (the stupid customer)
"I do not know. Take my money. Fix my car. I am stupid."

Re: DEAD BATTERY......again!!

Once again this is a HONDA forum and Mr. Kirchner was stating his views on honda customers. And yes you are right you never said that all of your comlpaints were on one car but remember we are in a honda forum and when you post something like that especially about replacing radiator hoses you get people scratching there heads saying wrong radiator hoses i thought there was only two how can they replace the wrong one. So next time be specific it may sve you time in the long run.

As far as the vin it would be nice because thanks for asking. and also the color and what type of tires.

Thanks, the greasy guy in the back that fixes your car.

I hate to tell you how many times we have had to jump start our Odyssey in the morning - thank goodness for the new high-tech battery pack jumpers!
We would be very interested to hear from anyone who has successfully hacked a relay to shut off the interior lights after, say 15 minutes.
Thanks!
