Re: GS-T or GSX

no question GSX... go find a local DSM club and just listen to the GST owners whine.

LMAO...yea i would rather have a GSX but my RST and my GST are awesome, and for the price that both of them cost me i could have never gotten a GSX and be where i am today, i finally got on my GST today after 9 oil changes to get rid of the glitter and 1135 miles on the motor... i can tell there is a lot of potential for 11s i am very happy how this motor and car turned out, now i just need DSMlink! so far i have about $4100 into the car, and hopefully i will get into the 11s!!!

Since when is Roll spelled role? Also, According to the dealer the second gen gst's are the main culprits with crankwalk. I don't know if that is true or not. That's just what they told me. My son has a 96 GSX. It's pretty quick whether your rolling or at a standstill. It's a very high maintenance SOB. The trannys in a 2ng gen don't last much past 110,000. If you buy a DSM be prepared to part with cash often.

well if you start making power your going to start breaking things... that is a given, also if you beat the shit out of the car, the parts arent goin to last longer than if you baby it! i will put money on it that your son beats the piss out of it! shit i did when i was 16-17yrs old... but now its different, i take care of my shit, cause its my money! try making him pay for the tranny and see how long the next one lasts (i bet a lot longer than if you buy and put in a new tranny), guarenteed he babies the car or he just likes throwing away money if you make him pay for it!!

crankwalk hasnt been attributed to GSTs in particular. Its associated with 7 bolt 4G53 engines whether they are GSX's or GST's.

I've had 3 DSMs and had very little as far as problems go... idle got stupid after I cut the MAF.. duh! and sunroof gave me a prob... but no more than you could expect for a 95 car with a good bit of miles on it. And ya if he's young he will beat that car to hell... I would have at 17-18.... burning up the clutch when launching ALOT.... no timer and no cooling the car down after runs....and just general abuse WILL cause major probs on any car... granted your son could be babying it ?!? I dont know.

As far as main post though.... I stick by my GSX.... you can get em for the same price as a GST now... unless your looking for a mack daddy 99 with 30k miles.... and they are just more fun!
