Re: I wanna paint my dash trim body color! Huh.

Does anybody know how I can customize my 88 acura legend? I'm trying to figure out what performance parts I can add to it or any ways I could change the interior. I'm trying to take the leather seats of the back and add new ones, and also put racing seats, but I don't think they have mounts for this model. also I'm trying to figure how I can put a better looking bodykit, cause they have very, very, very few for a model that old

PLEASE HEEEEEEELP!!!!

whoa, no need to get hostile, at least I payed for my car with my own money and hard work, and I'm only 17, I'm pretty sure when u were my age ur mommy and daddy spoiled ur ass, so after you get your facts straight, then talk to me alright, I'm just learning from the ones who have experience, and if your not gonna help and talk all this shit to make you feel big, and like you know more than everybody, then I suggest you STFU, otherwise I could really apreciate the help.

Re: I wanna paint my dash trim body color! Huh.

Yeah, Im 18 and I bought my honda with my own money. You bought your own? I'm SO proud of you. If you want some help, Try the ACURA forum, under LEGEND. Posting under EVERY thread will only cause you to get ignored buddy...it appears I'm the only one that feels the need to even respond. It's not cool at all when you check your thread and think Sweeet someone responeded and then its just YOU. In my "experience" the Honda/Acura people are very quick to respond, so please go there and try posting in ONE thread. Thread closed.

this came as a shock to me but i just sanded all my dash accents down and soak them in soap and water and let it dry over night and the cheap paint i bought from home depot that i used the first time worked better then the krylon fusion paint the only thing better about the krylon is its more gloss

This is a picture of my dash. I painted the radio trim bezel, center counsel, and door handle trim bezels. I use Chroma base and Chroma clear from Dupont when I do trim plastics. Same paint as you would use on a car. It is much more durable and has a deeper shine. But if you are on a budget you can achive good results with spray can. The MOST important thing is to make sure the parts are clean. If the part is small enough put it in your dishwasher. The hot water will pull all the old armor all out of the plastic. You can also use a plastic prep and adhesion promoter to clean the plstic. If you do not get all the old dressing off the plastic it will bubble the paint later. Using primer is a good idea also.
