hey man, i read your post, and i think a jeep wrangler with 120k miles on it, with shotty brakes and a less than perfect interior is worth way less than $3,400. If it were me, i would walk away from that guy if he declined anything lower than at 2,500-2,800, tops.

But if your set on this particular jeep, and you do end up buying it, the best thing to do is probably take it to a mechanic, and have them inspect the brakes. Or you could just change the pads, which is what is sounds like.

On the other hand, there are several billion used jeeps in this world, im sure you can find another one you like, if he doesnt come down on the price.
