Re: Maybe selling my Civic for a Teg...
i called the granny today..they sold the one with 96k miles on it
![]() theres like no integras in the year that i want in my area..heres all the ones i found in the paper (one is from Auto Trader): · 1990 Integra LS ·· Lowered ·· 133k miles ·· $2000 · 1991 Integra ·· $2900 · 1991 Integra LS ·· 163k miles ·· CD Player ·· $3300 · 1992 Integra GS ·· 152k miles ·· Exhaust ·· Alarm ·· CD Player ·· Rims ·· New Clutch ·· Front and rear body damage ·· $1700 That's all the listings from Saturday for the 90-93 Integras....there was a lot of like 96 or 97 GSR's for sale for the $9000 range... Any of those sound good or should I just wait until something else comes along? It's confirmed though...my mom wants to buy my Civic because of the gas mileage..so I'll use that money for a teg...she's gonna give me $3000 for it.

I would wait for the right car to come along (actually, I'd just save up money and swap a motor into the civic, but that's me, lol). For the 9K price tag of a GSR, you can stick a lower mileage GSR into your car for WAY LESS. As for the 90-93 Integras, none of those are any I would buy. They all have higher milegage than I'd like to see, and/or they are lowered (see my post about that about for my opinion on that) to name a few things. Also, stay away from your friends car. I don't think you want any part in "electrical issues." Electrical problems can be a pain in the rear to diagnose and solve. For the same reason I suggested staying away from lowered and modified cars, stay away from his. "Suspension Issues." You are paying 2grand for his problems, and it will be up to you to pay the extra money to fix them. Just keep looking. You have a car in the mean time that works and gets you around. Stay patent and keep looking until the right buy comes along.

Patientice is a virtue. It can be hard to stay patient, but it's worth it. You just gotta bite your tongue and wait it out until you find the right buy. You may want an Integra, but if you just buy one soon to buy one and you get too many miles, or any of the other numerous problems a car can have, you'll begin to miss the civic, which didn't have all those problems. What I am saying is, it's though, but just save your $$ and keep looking. That way, you'll also have a little bit of extra $$ to spend on parts for your integra once you get it. And you'll know that the car you got was a good buy, because you took your time and did your homework. The less patient you are, the more prone you are to buy a car because you just want it and not because it's a good reliable car. That's the last thing you want to occur.
