I don't get the time delay for new years. I remember reading somewhere that the earth follows its orbit around the sun at like...ABOUT 13 Miles per SECOND. so...if the first people to have new years hit right at the beginning of a new orbit, than 24 hours later, when the LAST people have new years, we're already 1,123,200 Miles INTO the new year! so even though it's only 4:50 on december 31st where I am, it is truly 2002...so...according to the CURRENT way of celebrating new years (my year is 1 million miles longer)...I should live about 20 years longer than the FIRST people to celebrate New years!!!

The Equation-

EARTH orbits at 13 MpSECOND.

13X60 (to convert to minutes)=780 Miles per minute
780X60 (to convert to hours)= 46,800 Miles per hour.
46,800X24 (to determine number of miles travelled in 24 hours)=1,123,200.

Us kiwi's are so laid back it is not funny though I had a good time, I was just tired. I had been up for nearly 20 hrs as it was.

Not only did we get to see some pretty dodgy firewords off the Sky Tower but also were treated with quite a few shooting starts so God was quite cool

Which is the beauty of New Zealand. We see the first of every year. That and it is really cool when on New Years eve you can go to the beach, play volleyball with count them, 8 topless women! Now that is partying. Opps I let the cat out of the bag. Ok so I wasn't tired, more like occupied hehehe
