Re: Aoshima Prelude (First Model)

well this has happened to my brother before. It didn't come out yellow, what happened was the paint actually bonded with the yellow well and the yellow is showing through, you just need to do one or two more coats. I did this with red plastic once. Good luck.

rims

im talking about the rims, i primered before i painted, its not so bad tho, not too yellow. Im not talking about the colour the rims were and the white not covering it, im talking about the white just not being a nice clean white. it was probably just the lighting tho, lol, and im probly just retarded, lol. HAHA i was guna post pics but i have minor problems, lil bubbles appeared. i hate painting, lol, easy to fix tho cuz they're small and just on the outside, no worries.

ill fix it, and put a really light coat over it, why is it so haard for acompany to make a white paint, what the hell. some white dont cover other colours, some arent white, sum are weird. i have yet to come by a company that makes white the way it should be made, WHITE, not yellow, none of that, just a nice WHITE colour. err, gets me angry, but w/e. lol

the rims will be done by tommorow, ill put pics up tommorow, and the body willl take like 3-4 days to finish, damn long painting process,
ok, so i was at my hobby shop, and i see tamiya black, then i look down and notice metallic black. i was all *oooo aaaah* so i got metallic black and thats the colour my body will be. hope it all turns out good

theres just a lil update, haha

good times

From what I hear, Tamiya's Racing White is actually more of a "racing cream" Maybe try Tamiya's Pure White, or pick up some testors Gloss White, it comes out Nice as long as you no how to use testors rattle cans.

Just a suggestion but if the body is going to be black, you might want to add a bit more color to your interior, because a solid black interior with black exterior makes for an extremely dark car. Maybe add a bit of red to your door panels, red seats, just my 2 cents.

maybe

im just trying to make a sleeper kind of look, i still need to put the recaro decal on my seats and i might do sum more red accents, im looking for a really dark kinda look. im also modelling this after wut my car will look like once i get it, (bout 2 years SOO LONG) so i dont wanna do a LOT of interior cuz i dont want it to be a show car. i might do sum red seat buckle thingies and maybe sum more red accents, but not too much.

i understand where you're coming from though
