Who is going to pay 65K for a Toyota Celica? That money it better spent in Z06 or M3.

Hypothetically, say that Toyota does produce the Ultimate Celica for the market. If somehow they find a way to reduce the astronomical six-figure pricetag to $65,000, it will be in the same class niche as their upcoming grand tourer. That would obviously not do, since Toyota is seriously gearing up for the Supra successor, and they do not want any sales overlap. Furthermore, take a look at your price prediction: $65,000. You won't get the increased bore and stroke. You won't get the IMSA GTP turbo or the RMM custom built inconel headers it hangs off of. There are countless exotic parts, materials, and custom modifications used on the car that make it cost $500,000 to build, as well as fire up 500hp. 19" BBS single-nut magnesium wheels? Integrated roll cage? Fuel cell? Only on concept exercises. Plus, as F20C states, there are too many other more appealing cars in this competetive range. At $65,000, it won't have 500hp... and without all that excess power, wouldn't consumers just want something more of a genuine sports car icon, rather than some odd concoction which has a 140hp little brother?

As for the celica, with the stuff that it has on now at $500,000, would I get that particular one. But in general, I like the celica GT-S. It has a style all it's own and one that took some getting use to.

To be honest, I would. Only reason I'm saying this is because like my Accord, I just don't see the G20 as sporty to me. I know I'm going to get ripped for this but, that's my opinion.

yeah i would (sorry

you got a G20 don't you) the Celica GT-S has a 6 speed, more power and it's ALOT faster (0-60 in the mid 6s), plus i like the styling better.

koo, b/c I thought the same. I guess its the name that I like about my car and that people think I'm ballin cause I drive an "Infiniti". he he .But that sucker is as slow as my big toe.

its a hard decision. Id have to go with the prelude. but its a really hard choice.
