I heard that. I had a similar experience on a dirt road. A lwb truck doesnt like to be over corrected. I had my tail gate pass me and I stopped about 6" from the edge of a cliff. Thats when I learned that if you take your foot out of the gas you can live another day. I like to play around on vacant back roads myself. you said empty parking lots but the only thing there is, you can go sideways all day, you get used to sliding way out like that how are you gonna do on the road? You will either get lucky, or be off the road. I like the river road here, its full of switchbacks to come around sideways. Tires go about every weekend though.

My cousins blazer went face first into a dich and we pulled it out with his brothers 86 z28. 2 years before the camaro itself was in that same ditch tail end first. His girlfriend was drunk and backed up into the ditch at night. used 2 cars to pull that bitch out.
