lol, actually you would still retain the stock release mechanism, the pins are a safty factor if for some reason the hood breaks free of the latch, thats kinda what they always were, but yeah i have been looking to do that to my car for some time, waiting till i get a fiberglass hood, dont want to cut up any of the original parts of the car. everything i change is reversable, just how im doing it

anyone ever seen a stock fiberglass hood for the 4th gen. i can find tons of ss, ram air, and ultra-z hoods but i just want the stock hood, only fiberglass...
