Just a heads up the ABS(The part that fires all the valves, not sure on correct terminology)well that is known to go out. Alot of people have problems with the window regulators and some tranny problems. I must say though these are great trucks just hope you dont get a monday or a friday truck. Silverado and Sierra are same trucks different grills different names

i have a 98 GMC sierra Z71 it has 174000 miles on it is still runs great everything works on it even the AC. its a work hourse. some one put suger in my fuel tank but with the filtration system GMC has all i had to do is drop the tank and clean it out.. great trucks....

I own a 94 Gmc Sierra and have had it for about 3yrs down, and plan on rebuilding the truck from top to bottom within the next 4-5yrs, just because i dont want to go buy a new one. I stand by General Motors and havn't had one real big problem with mine other then the previouse owners lack of Tlc for the truck and the engine going. But after that i did a few of my own things "performance upgrades " and it runs strong. So really within 3yrs spending about .... 2500 on just the engine and minor care , i say it was all worth it if i can keep this truck for a very long time.
