It is mostly pastel. I have a tutorial it is not the greatest but I tried to include details into it. Canay has a good tutorial too. I mostly use information I learned from Thom Taylor's book How to Draw Cars Like a Pro.

My tutorial above proves that you need some kind of paper that has tooth to it or the pastels wont blend well. I used printer paper in my example so don't use paper that smooth. My cars are done on Bristol Vellum paper.

Hi Ghetto* you are right. I wonder why they didn't make a wing for that car. I used the wing from the F50 Ferrari (changed a little bit). I have always love that wing, how the verticle supports are so close.

Thanks Asaenz, I'll have to get some pastels, some more markers and get working on my first color drawing. I really appreciate the advice

Wow, that's phenominal work. How did you shade the front end so neatly? did you edit it on the computor? I'm really interested in your drawings and it's hard to beleive you actually drew that.

Thx guys for the replies.

Mshkttck, the orig. wk has a pretty smooth blend. The digital image was blured very slightly to get it close to the original. The orig. looks a lot better than this image still. I need about 5 megapix camera to take better picts. Blur (computer enhancement) can turn a pastel work into a water color effect which is pretty cool. I have a green rx-7 that I did that to. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...ad.php?t=96497

There you can notice a huge difference between my Enzo and RX-7. The seven is way more smoother and looks like water color.

The key to smooth blends is to use your finger for blending. 1st I blend in all the blue on the car and then come in with the black. It is hard to explain but it is in Thom's book. I also use what is called blu-tack to lift areas of pastel off the paper. Blu-tack is made in England. But at Wal-mart we have the same kind of stuff called Handi-Tak made by Super Glue Corp.

Take care
Alfred
