Re: traction control on '98 Z

I drive a 00z28 and i have the switch that allows me to turn it on or off as i wish. I take it off to race cause it pushes the gas peddle out when the tires slip. Oh yeah my friends 02 z28 has the same thing you do wires but no button but his low trac light comes when he peels out but the gas doesn't push out like on mine. My low trac light only comes on when the traction is on.

Re: traction control on '98 Z

five years later lol i have another camaro now without traction control i noticed the wires for the switch but it doesnt do anything so i noticed the rearend doesnt have the needed sensors and on the body of the car is missing a plug , so i was about to switch all that out but now im wondering about the wires from the body going back to the front of the car if i changed out that plug with my old wrecked camaro with traction control or would i be waisting my time still personally im scared to drive in any ice without traction control without it i just drive down the street sideways

Re: traction control on '98 Z

this was quite funny, and 5 years later you still havent learned that a camaro isnt designed for snow and ice? try bridgstone blizzak tires, thats what i run in jan along lake erie. and i would not attempt to add traction control, its not easy and its expensive. you have to change almost every part of the braking sys,the ecm,the wiring, the rear end,add sensors... you would prob end up with a nightmare on your hands..trust me, go for the tires they work.
