I have the same problem with my 92 Cavalier. The blinkers slowed down for months, maybe 1/3 speed of normal. Once in awhile they would not work at all then next day work slow again. Now they are out permanent. Went to dealer and bought the flasher for the turn signals...$10.00 (it looks just like the emergency flasher only has 2 blue rings around it) but I couldn't find it anywhere. Took apart the whole steering wheel area and found nothing! I was ready to go to library and look in a service manual but decided to check online first.
I am glad I ran across this forum. Hey, GoinAllTheWay .....if it's where ya say I owe ya a cold one!!

My '95 chevy PU just started flasher problems. The front left turning signal is flashing when the key is on, all the time ,fast.Clicka clicka clicka clicka!
Now I am trying to find the switch. When I actually operate the turn signals , it operates normal, right and left. I am ready to just pull the bulb!

Found switch, replaced and all that changed is that it slowed to normal. Still , front left light only blinks without actuating the lever.
