I have NO idea how this motor died-out, and why it didn't pass-on to the Beretta's spiritual successor, the Cavalier. Cav Z24's had a version of the QUAD, but it only put-out 150HP/150TQ. Wow....what made for such high output? I mean 2.3 liters is alot, but still-high com. ratio or something?

I know some buildups for a Cav Z24 include removing that balance-shaft, which in essence restores the 30-or-so HP that it robbed rom the motor's HO configuration.
