Re: Skyline

Yea it looks that way. I really want to go. I visitied once for 2 weeks through my nihongo san class, and i really want to go back. I think i might this summer for a week or two. The only problem is that i dont know anybody there and if im going to be there for a month or two maybe, it would be nice to be with some people that could show me around.

Re: Skyline

thats where i was actually thinking about going was okinawa or maybe osaka. or maybe both. i havent figured things out as to if ill even have the cash to go. all i really have to worry about is the cost of the plane tickets. when i was there (at least where i was up in Hokkaido) everything was relativly cheap. I stayed there for 2 weeks on $1800 including plane tickets and hotel expenses.

EDIT: i want to scedule my stay around the time of the next One Make although i think i may have already missed this years. If i can come up with the cash and i havent already missed it, i was planning on entering, 13k for the car and then just tons of weight reduction. Cant have any engine/exuast mods so the price for modding the car would be realativly cheap. Racing a naturally aspirated car would be fun. I have done it yet.

Re: Skyline

nice nice, in okinawan roads off base, you can get away with anything. i run red lights for fun, last time i got pulled over by the jp's they told me to use my signals next time.
got my ass handed to me by a gtr on the highway that passes kadena gate one, chatan area. that mofo just flew by, open roads at midnight-2am.

go by b.c. street if you ever get the chance, before you hit up korinza, there are houses behind the shopping street on the right side of b.c street, look for an s15 spec-R, beautiful! you might find it somewhere, it's white. it might be gone, it might not, who knows. first time ever seeing a specR. it was stock, now it's modded.

I live just down the road from BC street. Closer to cocos but still off of rt 23.
Sorry man, we're not looking for any roomates. LOL
The scene in okinawa is a little messed up right now because the MP's have been doing some undercover jobs at aja point and muzigama busting people for drifting and street racing. (take a look at my signature)
Here's what the military police learn about "drifting":

Yeah, those areas were really getting cracked down on by the japanese police right before I left last year. They actually pulled a friend over and gave him a ticket for watching the drifting. Something they usually didn't do.

Re: Skyline

wow! that's very new to me. that is very messed up. i remember how the jp's were so lazy, i mean, they would go to aja and everyone would run and shit, but now mp's? how the fuck can they do this? did the japanese give them some kind of power to do this, after all, it's their land, not ours.

Re: Skyline

up here at the races, they give people tickets and sometimes impound cars just for watching the races and impromptu drift events. i did a dumb ass thing last weekend me and my friends were drifting in my friends hatchi roku and my s14 (hahaha it is a 240 conversion...a real one not a half assed just body/taillight conversion. everything cept the lhd) up in the foot hills of mount rainier (some PERFECT drift spots up there) and got chased my some cops in charokees. couldnt keep up with us though, but if we got caught, wouldve been straight to the impound for our cars. first time i had ever seen a cop up there but....i think ill keep my ish on the dl for now until i can find another untapped spot.
