It's not the first time fires have been deliberately lit. That horrific one we had about 6(?) years ago was deliberate in parts. I was living in Richmond then and couldn't see the other side of the road it was so bad. Winmalee got hit bad by that one.

Yes Baulko is on red alert at the moment. The fire jumped the Nepean River, and is heading that way. They are scared because of the dense vegetation in the Hills area, and since there hasn't been a fire there in more than 10 years, this will further fuel it, and they said it could even reach the east coast!
I've got a fire 10 minutes from my place at Kemps Creek. My area is a bit more populated, so it is at less risk, then Cecil Hills which is just north.
