Re: In Progess "Aero" RX8
Thats awesome. I love the side skirts and the rims just go perfect on there. Keep us posted.

A bit more progress - I've decided to use the rims from the Madzaspeed RX7 plus pegasus sleeves (the Bersalglio's will go on the RSX). I've built up the front ends of the side skirts with plastic card & made up the exhaust tips from plastic tube.

that is a damn sick looking car, im loving every inch of that baby!!
i have one idea tho, im just looking at the rear window and was thinking how cool it would look if a new rear window was made where it just dropped down vertical from the sill? kinda like an MR2 rear window? just a suggestion. rims look great too. |

Damn that is NiCE! I should have waited for the AERO edition, looks better than the Type-S version IMHO. Great work on the side skirts, they look like they are meant to be. sweet choice for the rims too (MazdaSpeed ones).
JeFF btw: check out the 8 in my sig |

This might just be a personal thing, but I think that the wheels would be a lot nicer without the sleeves. Maybe a deeper dish or lip done with strip styrene, but those sleeves just look plain tacky with those o-ring tires.
Get some beefier sidewall tires and ditch the sleeves and it'll look a lot better.
