Re: Team Hinga videos from Okinawa

mkII: That is for the toyota estima, which is a van they have over here....

Dorikin: Joe Joe is a friend of mine. Perkins is cool too. Taylor had been gone for a while, but I think he is supposed to come back over here. I don't know Stevens at all. I agree that the camry engine is crap. I am pretty sure it is a V-6 too (at least they are over here). That increases the difficulty in tuning. (twice the parts for the same job too!) I would try the 2jz or something like that.

2JZs 1JZs and 7MGES are a sommon swop into a MKII Supra. I am looking at something differant. With an aluminum block engine, I will be able to remove more weight from the rear of the car. this way I will more easily get a 50/50 weight balance, but I will also be able to remove more weight. No this engine is not a V6, I am talking about the base cheapest engine in a Camry the 2.4L I4. The reason I choose this engine, is because I would go 2zz, but that thing would kill itself if I put engine mods on it becuase of the comression. Also that engne is to small for my car at 1.8L, so i went 2.4L. I would love to go an I6, but none of them are aluminum block. The best best best swap, would be to put TVRs 3.6L or 4.0L I6 in there. Aluminum block, the 4.0 pulls 420HP stock, and the 3.6L pulls 380HP stock. But that would be pointless because TVRs are lighter than my car .

Are you trying to go Turbo? Because unless your making rediculous boost, an iron block will add weight as opposed to save it? Again, even if your doing N/A the Celica 2ZZ will be fine.

The Camry I4 is still a POS, I dont know if it will bolt up to a RWD tranny anyways
