The Supra could make more horsepower for the money, the RX7 would be better rounded, and the Supra would look better. It doesn't really matter tho, my stock 575 Marinello would beat both

I just saw a great project made by SP engineering called the Supra-7. I know , I know supra sounds a lot like super - and you're damn right! The combination of the superb handleing of the rx-7 and the power of the beastly 2jz-gte supra engine came together to make one hell of a car. you say you're maranello would beat anything AYE! I've seen videos of bmw m3 with a turbo kit with only 420 hp keep right up to cars like a diablo and a stradale so i think for the money you spend on a beemer you get more bang for the buck. wouldn't you say the same?

Im sorry but that heavy ass 2JZ would totally ruin the balance of the RX-7. I may not own a Rotary but most of my RX-7 buddies are purists and thats just wrong...

Ever wonder why the Castrol Racing JGTC Supra uses the 3S-GTE instead of the 2JZ? its about balance....

WTF is this sh*t about supras not getting past 9 sec. I can tell by ur ignorant statement that u obviously havent heard about Titan Motorsports or Power House Racing which both have 8 second street supras. the rx7s which run 7s use the 20b which is not an rx7 motor. the supras i mentioned run SUPRA engines. i dont believe the rx7s are in the street class either so you cant compare cars that are in a different class (like comparing top fuel rail cars to street cars....an extreme example but it gets the point across). plus on a rotary wheres the torque? it does matter to those who think it doesnt. as far as the 3s gte goes it is a good engine. capable of 700+ hp which is plenty for track racing and it is lighter than the 2jz which is probably the main reason it is in their supra.

now lets touch on the reliability/maintence issue. since very few people know how a rotary works it is hard to find people who will work on them. plus if you go on ebay or autotader or some other site and look up rx7s u will notice that most turbo models have had rebuilt engines and they usually have less than 100k miles. now how often do you see a surpa with a rebuilt engine. mine has 175k miles and it is a TT. no tranny or engine rebuilds the worst problem it has had is a small oil leak. a friend of mine has a friend with a rx7 show car it has about a little over 100k miles and has been through 3 rebuilds...the car never gets driven and it has been rebuilt 3 times. the first 70k miles were all put on by the first owner and then he got it. this is only one example but still most rx7 turbos only last for about 50-70k miles.

huh? u mean they did an engine swap 2 make those rx7's go that fast? hrmzzZz.. can we like consider that HKS supra? they have a v8 twin turbo set up in there i think? dosent it do like under 7 seconds too?

icezdragonz thats what im talking about. the hks supra which runs 6s doesnt have a 2jz in it. just like the rx7s which run 7s dont have 13b in them. but an 8 sec supra usually will have a 2jz in it so comparing a 7 sec rx vs a 8 sec supra is stupid. as for the cars flying, i got a vid off kazaa with a rx7 on the salt flats that catches some air and flips several times. the driver probably died.

I have that same vid of the racing beat FD man. . . Although I doubt the driver died, the cab didnt crush or anything. Besides this conversation is retarded, someone mention this before but there is absolutely no point in comparing modified cars without timeslips, track vids of the cars in question, etc. etc. Let alone such a simple stipulation as highly modded. . .
