I like this model. Kind of reminds me of the Bob Sharp Racing #33 280ZX.

Ahh, IMSA GTU. Now there's a look worth copying.

GReat work on your flared 300zx,good job too on the intercooler and the front bumper. You take a good set of wheels for your car.You can paint it in a deep black or a white pearl with a light pearl blue on

The mesh wheels are from a Revell AG Skyline kit but as that seems to be identical to some old Fujimi kits I expect there's another source for them. I'll have a project perfect for these at some point so I wouldn't part with them, besides which getting rims with this much negative offset and so wide (rears are 345/35x15 ) isn't so easy now.

You can get some Technoracing TV-R rims from HLJ that have the same width and offset and are still totally old school. I'm going to be using some on this Datsun 510 coupe model I'm trying to resurrect...

Little update. I did some work on the rear end, getting the rear apron on and making the exhaust cutouts. I still have to finish shaping the side bits yet. I'm going for twin oval tail pipes for a change on this. Did some sanding on the front too but I'm out of decent putty so any more work of that sort is going to have to wait a few days.

I trial fitted the interior and in typical Fujimi style it doesn't fit too great. There's a bit of a gap at the sides between the interior and the tops of the doors. I'm going to warm the body tub a little a tweek out outward to make it fit.

Here's some pics of the progress...

I picked up some pale blue pearlescent nail polish today so I might give that a go on this one... white base with a blue pearl like Steven said.
I picked up some mad colour flip stuff too...purple to gold to green...very cool looking. I might test that out on something because that might look good on this project too. There were so many different custom colours it was hard to choose.

Ok, I want to know, what color are the rims gona be, it's been picking at me, cause they look so tasteful. Have you decided on a scoop or 2 yet?

Sweet

Sweet looking model, thanks for the pics and info, as I'm planning a widebody (Z32) 300ZX sometime soon!

I don't think anyone's mentioned it and maybe you already knew, but the Z31 on Yahoo had Work Meister wheels.... I'd be very surprised if someone didn't make scale versions of them, popular wheels in Japan. I know, I know, where's the fun in that though

Ben
