Look, I am not saying your LS doesn't possess a "closed deck." I am saying they don't come with a closed deck design. NO HONDA COMES THAT WAY. Maybe the pervious owner of the LS before is was swapped had a block gaurd installed and machined in...who knows...but I know for a fact Honda's don't come with a closed deck design..which is one of the reasons a lot of people say "don't boost a honda, they weren't designed for it." If you read my posts throughout my time here, you know I am not one of those ppl. But still, Honda's don't come facotry with a Closed Deck. If you have an LS that has one, it was done after the fact before you bought it.

dont worry about black89crxls, hes another one of those people who talk about things that they have read or heard from someone else, only he screws it all up when he tries to repeat it.

for instance, his name on www.sportsnimports.com was b20crxvtec, and hes never had a b20 OR vtec in his crx, and the only reason i believe that he has a crx is because i saw it once. he claimed lots of things, but nothing ever came true, which is bad considering sportsnimports is a louisiana based site and everyone on there lives in the state or nearby and most of them have met in person more than once. its not a good place to get away with lying. then he claimed to have an h22, but after three days of driving his CRX with it, he hydrolocked the engine and just pulled it out and put a b18b in it. dont even get me started on the horrors of going back to basically stock mounts after the cut job required for an h22.

theres a lot more involved with this guy, but im getting tired of exposing him in every thread i see hes posted in, so im going to quit now.

yea mah bad, the block was resleved with darton i belive, but the h22 does come as a closed deck from the delership..........

NO HONDA CAME WITH A CLOSED DECK...PERIOD.....NONE...NADA...NOT AN H22, NOTHING...

The H22 has a conisderably weaker block than an LS, and it does not come with a closed deck....again, no Honda does. An H22 can't be pushed much past 7psi, maybe 8 max....on a stock block, and it's well kow to have a weeker block...the sleeves are thinner and will crack under much boost. I have seen the inside of plenty of H22's. Again, jesus, just quite with the lying...you're a frickin idiot...and I don't go off calling people on here that, so feel special.

No honda engine came with a closed deck design. Give up, and just drop it. You can't "prove" anyone wrong, when we all know the truth already. That is just sad.

And your post wasn't far off. I am not calling boosted331 a lier but as far as I have seen numbers wise, you were right. The B16A head flows 5.25% better. I see his chart shows different, but I have seen charts showing what that, so take what you will. I know me and several others have had this disscussion with him before about the flow of the heads. Either way, the B16A has a bigger combustion chamber over the GSR, 42.7cc to 41.6cc, which is one of the reasons it is the prefered head.

But yah..I am from Southern Oregon..I do go to Portland..too much I think. But as of the last 2 weeks, I haven't had the opportunity to do so..caught up with schoo, dance and work etc etc etc. Anyway, what do you drive?

I'm planning on going up there sometime soon (hopefully) to pick up my GSR wheels I let someone borrow...but it's always raining..makes me lazy

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, my interent connection died...I drive a 92 Civic. You let someone borrow your wheels? Hope you get em back soon, and in good condition. I am guessing you have different wheels on your car. Yea, it rains waaayyy too much here in oregon, lol. Makes you not really wanna go driving, you know? Saturday was the worst, in regards to rain, around 1.55" just on saturday alone.

I have a B16 Head that I am selling for $450+shipping. It's just the head valve cover, valve train, cams, head bolts, vtec solenoid. The head has only 30k on it. Let me me know if you are interested.

If you want a step-by step instruction with pics on how it's done (it's good for an idea of what's involved), check out the issue of Honda Tuning from May 2003 I believe, I'll check on the date and let you know the issue/pages. Then you just won't have to read it, but can see it as well....and no...you don't just throw the head on and call it good...I'd go more in-depth, but am not at home and have to get going. I am sure someone else will take this though...if not, next time I am on with more time I'll try and explain it for you.
