Thank you everyone. I'm not a modelmaster, so please go easy on me.

Quote:
Did you use putty only, no styrene for a skeleton?
Yes, I used some styrene rod to make all the black rod/tube "skeleton".

Quote:
I'd like to know if the oill pan is in its same place as a regular R34, and not further down, because the RB is a tall motor, so you putting it down, would require the pan pretty much to be a low-pro or down on the ground.
Tamiya's setup is almost the same as the real car. I cut the engine part out from the part A31 and fill putty on top of the fake engine. When I glue it back to the chasis, I measure it from the top. So I don't know how deep the pan is because there're alot of stuff on top of the engine. I have to align the tow ring to the hood and all the support on top of the engine + the turbo, the pipes AND the intercooler has to been at the right height to match the hood.

Quote:
could you have filled in the gap between the bodyshell and wheelarches more?
The styrene sheet used to fill all the way to the firewall, but I can't put the body on if I have the sheet there. Unless I force the body on, which might snap the body apart.

For my next model. It will be the Xanavi R34 with the V6 or a 1997 Calsonic R33. I'm building the V6 now. If I can't put it in the R34, I might get a 350Z and put it in.

Later, see ya guys around.

Re: Finished: Loctite R34 with 100% scratch build engine

ok, I'm just used to seeing the Rb motor standing taller than that as seen in the ZEXEL R34 it's pretty much the same height. Use the v6 for a white Top Secret R34, it's just rwd, I think you might've seen it before, seeing as your a nismo enthusiast.

No, I didn't make the mirror. I think you can use putty and stick a wire in it, shape it looks like the mirror and put it on the car

This is my favourite racing GTR of all time besides the HKS R32 from Tamiya but seeing a detailed engine in it just makes this model perfect,I love the engineering and execution on this build, im about to start on undergoing an engine conversion my self and seeing someone accomplish such a project keeps me inspired in going forward.looking forward in seeing more of your work in the future! 10/10

Excellent Work! The engine is awesome. Not being picky, but where's the window wiper?
