Re: Integra vs. Mustang

Of course anybody can raise a "BS FLAG", but you guys should know that other considerations also come to effect. Such as a bad driver?? There are such things.

I don't know about anybody else, but I am particularly raising my BS flag because he sounds like an awestruck fanB01 talking about his Honda.

I'll need more details to believe him, like: what possesed him to spend considerable amounts of money (considering the car) importing the car, when an SiR with a bit more powerful motor, LSD, and lighter can be had for cheaper?

I know this, for my best friend's shop imports these cars whole and in part to sell as JDM parts/cars.

He doesn't sound like the type who would have the knowledge, money, or connections to import a car from another country, unless we're talking Canada or Mexico.

He sounds more like somebody that read about Integra XSi's in some magazine or the internet, and decided to make-up a story about it.

To the original thread starter: How did you import the vehicle here? What condition did you receive it in? The company that imported it? If you imported it yourself, what special condition had to be satisfied for you to be able to pass it through customs?

Answer the above questions, and I might believe you.

Carnutt, you really do live up to your nick. And as Signal stated, I agree that he's not coming back...unless he only posts just to proove us wrong, but in that case I allready would have mentioned the purpose for his return.

definitely agreed on that one. scares the $@#% out of me to drive in 2 lane curvey roads (such as mountain areas) especially if your trying to pass an 18 wheeler trailer.

saleen prolly wasn't even racing...

this guy is probly one of those guys who sees a hot car and then passes it as fast as possible and then claims he blew away a saleen mustang, even when the other car probly didn't even know what was going on, let alone know that he was apparently being "raced"

I dont know any of you guys, but for myself, i sure as hell wouldnt drive a saleen fast through the curves. Be it a saleen or not, its still a mustang. An overpowered, oversteering mustang.

No...and I doubt if they ever will .

They dusted my car for fingerprints, and nothing was found...not even mine...WTF?

It's probably just some file under a folder heading "unsolved" somewhere.

And I still don't have a stereo, or a passenger window...kinda harsh driving in 45-degree mornings, even in AZ.

Ah well, insurance checks should get here next week.

.

I know that scanning for fingerprints is a pain in the ass and most of the time it won't help anything. If your fingers were to smudge a print already on a door handle it screws it all up.

It's pretty obvious the guy who made this topic is just bs'ing. Why? Simply because he hasn't replied and probably never will, you get that a lot from new members, they'll make up one story and never return to the forums again. Perhaps they forget the website, or perhaps they know trying to explain their bs is just going to make them look more like an idiot.

Overpowered? That's like saying, "Aren't Jenna Jameson's breasts just a little too big?".

One of the benefits of having a Mustang is the wealth of aftermarket parts. Tubular K-members, tubular control arms, coil-over shocks, panhard rod, aluminum upper and lower rear control arms, and a hefty set of subframe connectors with jacking points.

Suspension parts can go well beyond the ubiquitous Eibach springs and Tokico shocks with strut-bars and anti-roll bars.

However, it's true that small cars inherently handle more nimbly because of their lighter weight, but it is possible to make a large car handle nimbly as well.

I wont deny the fact that "heavy" (in comparison to some) cars CAN handle good. I was just putting in the fact that lots of power leads to oversteer-not good for mountain roads heh heh.
