The 1.8 litre version of the Audi TT makes 125 hp/l. The Mclaren F1 was the first to break the barrier however back in 93'.

By pure horses I mean no turbos or anything. Just the horses produced by the engine!

Porsche,

Wow I didn't know the TT had 125hp/litre. Why is the S2K the hp/l champ then?

If the horses are created by solely by the engine withouy any additional help, then they are pure horses.

look ive been a BMW fan since my dad bought a 5 series in 1990. the M3 is way beter than the merc the M3 has 343 HP and 3.2 liters. thats 107 Hp per liter. the enzo produces 110 liter and the honda S2000 120 iter. also bmw is one of the few auto makers that does not use turbos (not counting disels)to boost preformance. for me bmw produces the best engines. instead of straping on a turbo they will invent a new tecnology to give it the extra prefomence. look at mercs and bmw new 12 cylinders. well bmw is just sportier and plain cooler
