I'd say I'm 90% positive Liam is a McLaren F1 owner. I don't know about Elton though. That sounds more like speculation to me. Sure he's a collector of cars, but I'd never really seen any accurate info to suggest he's a McLaren F1 owner. It's the same with Bill Gates - I've seen a lot of reports of him owning one or multiple McLaren F1's when in reality I don't believe he's ever been an owner.

This report is evidence enough for me - you'll have to cut&paste:

http://www.google.com/url?sa=U&start=4&q=http://members.madasafish.com/~smbu/pn/news/2000/april/16/&e=7421

There are others with similar info that can be found around the web. Also, he's not with Oasis, but Prodigy. I knew it was one of those.

I live in Britain and had no idea that Liam had one. He has the producing and song writing credits though so he probably can afford one. The confusion over Oasis and Prodigy is because he is married to one of the Appleton sisters, formely of All Saints (ever heard of them, over there?), the other appleton sister is married to Liam Gallagher, frontman of Oasis. I'll try and find out exactly which car he has or had.

I would be very surprised if Liam Gallagher had a McLaren. If he did it would have been in the tabloids in the UK. I believe Elton John had a XJ220 Jag. I haven't heard anything about him owning a McLaren F1. Nick Mason of Pink Floyd fame has a GTR along with lots of other great cars. Another rock star into cars in a big way is Jay Kay (Jamiroquai) who has an Enzo.

Re: Mclaren F1 Registry

Elton sold his XJ220, it was auctioned off with some of his other cars, my mom showed me an article about in in hello/ok (one of those womens mags) a while ago

Re-reading my post i make it sound as though Liam Gallagher has an F1, which he dosn't. I meant that i'd check to find out which F1 Liam Howlett has. So far i haven't found anything apart froma few stories confirming that he has or has had an F1.

I bet XOTech is aware of some of the more 'celebrity' F1 owners. Now that he's back in action, hopefully he'll be willing to drop some names. I'd be interested in knowing if Eric Clapton is truly an F1 owner as I've heard that he purchased George Harrison's F1. In fact, I think gerd may have originally posted that info here. Not certain if it was fact or rumor at the time.

I'm certain my list isn't any longer than yours. Whenever I dig up new info I share it here. So, if you've been taking good notes, then you're just as wise as me.
