It's all about subtlety. Keep things from being all gawdy. I've been forced recently to drive my dad's 98 Malibu around due to my lack of decent....er....I mean.....my own car. I actually saw a car just like mine on the freeway yesterday WITH A WING AND HOODSCOOPS....I WAS DYIN. The hoodscoops weren't even functional. They were the stick on kind. Morals of this story...if your car's a slug nor does it have any potential of NOT being a slug, don't try to make it look like it's not...

Oh yea....and mass stickers all over your car is just as stupid. --ONLY EXCEPTION--...my friend had an old cutlass that was a piece of shit. We bought a bunch of stickers and put them on it just to mock the ricer guys. This car was a riot. We used to joke..."yea...those stickers add at LEAST 75 horsepower..."...I miss that piece of shit...

That's hilarious. I love when people do that... The sad thing is that 'exhaust' is not an exaduration...

No, the sad thing is that someone actually paid $10k for that POS.

Holy God....that's right....it was sold. I don't think I'd pay 100 bucks for it.

theres a sort of art to customization, and its easy to go way overboard. its all about being subtle (like longlivethez said). Big wings and spinning 22's dont always work. Neither do insane body kits. Customzation is about making your car stand out, without making it sand out so much that people say "what was he thinking".

thats what i hope to accomplish anyway:

Thats pretty sweet, definately a subtleness, which I like. Never been big on ground effects though. Those wheels are pretty cool, what kind are they and what size are you gonna go?

Re: Customizing cars

I'm not a huge ground effects person either, but that one's nice. Really tasteful.

Your welcome. Have you ever thought of polishing your calipers? My cousins doing it on his Z-28 and it looks bad ass.

Hmmm.......that's a new on in my book. I've seen painted ones, but never polished ones. I think it would draw too much attention from the rims......all you can see is this massive shiny thing behind it.
