Sorry, I was away from the computer for a while... Well, they were Spoon pistons, and I'd have to check for sure, but if I remember right, my b16 runs what, 10 or 10.2:1 compression, and so I think these b18 pistons in the GSR are like 11:1? Anyways, my delSol was faster, but now this thing kicks my ass. There was a trouble code at first, and it scared us because it was the knock sensor, but it turned out we just didn't quite have it connected (whew!) and it has run fine ever since. We had to shave the sides of the connecting rods to fit the pistons, as we didn't use lightened narrower rods, just the stock ones. Now that I think of it, we also put in a lightened flywheel and a stage II clutch, which shaves a bit off of the time, but the engine pulls a hell of a lot harder. Very driveable and lots of fun.

Re: How safe would NOS be?
Did anyone bother to notice that this thread is like 8 months old. Please let the old threads stay that way, there is no reason to revive them. I mean it has been so long, the guy who posted the inital question has probably already done what he is going to do!
