For the short distances I drive, it's one hand on the wheel and one hand on the shifter (not as though I ever end up shifting anyway..just feels right..)

It all depends. I have no particular way I drive, I just get in and wherever my hands go, they stay (for the most part). If I have the window down, then I hold onto the wheel with my right at about 2:30, and left either hanging out the window, or elbow on the door, and finger and thumb at 8 or 9. Every once in a blue moon, it's left at 12, sometimes right at 5:30 and left at 6:30, or left at 10 and right finger and thumb at 4. NEVER 2 and 10 grasping tightly like they taught me

Also, if I'm on the highway, it's both wrists laying on top of the spokes right up against the inside of the wheel (it's a 2 spoke wheel), while batting my thumbs on the part behind the wheel (that houses the signal stalks, and 4 way falsher switch) to the music.

I never end up resting a hand on the shifter unless I'm in stop-n-go (like twice a year), or stopped with the shifter in first waiting for my chance to pull out of a street. I just reach down while pressing the clutch in.

I usually do. It all depends though, sometimes if I’m just cruising along I might drive with one hand on the wheel, but mostly I drive with both hands.

It depends. Most of the time I drive with my left hand on the wheel and the the right one resting on the armrest...or right hand on wheel, left arm on the door sill when the weather is nice. I do use 2 hands when driving on a curvy road or in heavier traffic where I might have to react in case someone's mad driving skillz get out of line.

A Mini is a real drivers' car. However,it's a warm weather cruiser for me,and I always have the sunroof open and the windows down.I drive with one hand usually. If I have the windows down,it's left hand out the window, right on the wheel, and then when I go to shift,it's left on the wheel, shift with the right.Because it doesn't have power steering,I turn with both hands and this car is like driving a go kart and is so much fun,so sometimes you just want to roar all over the place as if in a go kart.

However,we all know we have to drive with 2 hands, but I'm a window and 12 guy.

Either depending on the condition. With the windows down, I drive one handed with the right hand somewhere between 11 and 3 for some reason. With the windows up it's one hand in the beginning of a trip and two hands at the end of the trip. At my job when I'm driving the truck with the elbow rest, my right arm rests on it and the hand position is at 5-5:30 and my left hand is barely touching the 11 position.

I usually drive with one, but now since my left front brake rotor is bassically ruined, i drive with two when braking, but one the rest of the time. The time to junk my car is coming up very very fast, theres a 99% chance that its gonan be this week .
