That's odd, if I recall correctly, almost all of the economic problems on the national scale have to do with Bush's mismanagement of the economy, namely his massive tax cuts that somehow didn't stimulate the economy in the least... almost like cutting services so that the average consumer has less money to spend consuming hurts the economy, and putting more money in the pockets of people who aren't spending it doesn't do a great deal of good for it either...

Just my 2 cents...

Anyways, Arnie can't make deep enough cuts to social programs to fix California's budget problems, so there are two ways he can fix them. Either he can hike taxes, which would make his campaign promises a hollow lie, or he could go to the feds with his hand out...

There is some talk that the feds have big plans for Arnold, so it may be the latter... Interestingly enough, the Republicans quietly pushed through legislation removing the requirement for a US president to be born in the United States. Kinda makes you wonder, eh?
