But I got it at www.RacingResin.com. They have some Sakatsu stuff, and all sorts of really cool and expensive resin kits. Friendly and pretty quick, too.

Well there goes my hope of getting engine #2....

I tried to go to the url provided but it doesnt work. maybe will try again later. but I found it on HLJ. thanks

Actually it's the other way around, if I remember right, FOTW found out that some bloke working in a hong kong hobby shop was recasting his products and selling them for profit.

Anyway I think I might get the 1600cc celica engine.

I wish I had thought of that, Ragnarok. It totally would have been worth investing time and money into resin to get a copy or two of that thing. Would have been a little easier to work with, too, though I do like the weight of the metal engine. Gives it a rather realistic weight distribution, which is cool I think.

And hirofkd: No, it's not expensive compared to the work it would have taken me to build myself, I agree. But in my world, where I barely make rent between buying books for class, eating, buying racing parts for my real car, and flying up to Boston to see my recently moved girlfriend, money is scarce for models (though, looking at my models, it doesn't seem it...) I've only recently gotten to the point where I can sink $75 or so into a model without batting an eye, and this S2000 has about $100 in it already. That, too me, is expensive, no matter how much of a deal I got on parts. Parts = deal = still expensive.

Here are a few more progress pics. The body still wears some rough Milliput around the SAS parts, and I've since opened the intake a little more and smoothed it out.

Willimo,

I am interested in the female figure you have in the background!
Is it of a scale of 1/24?
Need some of those.
Thanks!

That engine sure is detailed, but it looks a little rough. I don't know if I'll invest the money in that for my S2000.

Yep, that's her. I was lucky enough to get ahold of her and six of her friends from a model train store in the area that was going out of business. It was on sale for 1/3 the price, otherwise they'd've been far too much for to justify paying. Now I wish I had gotten some other figures at the same time. I also wish I had a plan to clothe her.... Make her a little show model with a Mugen shirt and whatnot.... At least, that's the idea.

But anyway, look at the car... isn't the car cool?
