Sorry guys, your not carrying the thread alone anymore.
I think it's messed up that Nissan is having a "recall" with notifying anyone. I'm going to walk in to the dealer and tell them I'm having problems with the MAFS just to get it replaced before it DOES blow. I had a similar thing happen to me 2 months ago where my rear passenger window wouldn't go back up. I brought it to the dealer and they said it was a "faulty clip" causing the problem and that it was recalled already. I checked on Nissan's website, no mention of this "faulty clip". I think it's standard Nissan procedure to not say anything if it isn't a recall that can put anyone in danger (remember Ed Norton's job in Fight Club?) BTW, my green dot just says my user name

there isn't an actual "recall" but the new maf has taken a lot of wide open throttle runs without blowing. talk to them anyway, see what happens. i bet if there were enough complaints about it they'd make an actual recall.
