Ok, here's the answers.
It's Poughkeepsie Gulch, CO. One of the trails at GoX and called "The Wall" by some, but it's probably "advanced" on a Xterra level, not "difficult". This truck came down the easy way and probably didn't ever get down to the real obstacle. There are many pictures of Xterra's climbing this thing (I think there is one of me in 4x4 Magazine). Toyota photoshopped so many of the "supposed" obstacles into this shot, and really should be ashamed they can't get their truck up this for a good photo. Here's a shot I found from below: ![]() Here's where I've identified most of the "wrong" parts with the photo. |

Wow, I was way off. I don't know if I did that run or not. I think I might have gone down it. I know for sure I didn't go up it.

It was 01SalsaX that noticed the backing bit, not me.
I don't know the area at all, and even with it pointed out I still don't see any resemblance between the two shots. Brent |

I did note that the 2 shots were from the top and bottom respectively, but I still don't know how anyone was able to identify the location in the original ad in the first place.

At GoX it takes forever to get everyone up that thing, so you spend a lot of time looking down the valley. That was the first thing that I noticed, then I looked closer and recognized the obstacle.

This must be the picture taken just before the Toy slipped N slid, kicking, screaming, and fighting in reverse off of the cliff behind the shot(as is denoted by the splash pattern in front of the rear tires, and previously mentioned).
Other than that, it LOOKS like the stream in the back ground runs at an UN natural angle in comparison to the base of this valley. It seems to run uphill and to have never eroded into the hillside through which it traverses. I doubt thats what you're lookin' for, but it DOES hold water. ***BTW- Do you think that the Toy landed on a pile of Rav-4's or CRV's? ...And what the hell IS that red light in the bed?
