for me its definately the exterior and wheels, just making the car look right, after all it doesnt matter how much you detail the interior and engine if the body and wheels suck! paint brings the cars to life, i love the way they just look like the real thing after a good days painting

My favorite part often doesn't usually involve the actual kit. I like looking at the car, either in real life or in photos and thinking about how my version of that car would look. What color would I paint it, what wheels would I put on it, what engine modifications would I do, what body and interior mods would I carry out? And what modifications do I want to do to the model; like opening doors, adjusting the ride height, what detail parts do I need and things like that. Then I think about how many of these I can actually execute, making a list and planning the more complicated aspects of it (that part usually requires test fitting and writing on the actual model). That's my favorite part. Building it is just the realization of these goals. And if I had a favorite part of construction, it would be building and detailing the engine.

My favourite parts are detailing the engine, thats why i never build curbsides . . . the part i hate the most is masking up bodyshells (with reference to the fun i had with my porsche 956 . . . why cant they make masking tape that doesnt rip your paint off?
) But when it does work, the moment when you peel the masking tape off to reveal an immaculate multicolour paintjob is pretty cool.Oh yes, and i like doing all the little finishing touches like the door mirrors and aerials, thats what really brings a model to life.

My favorite part is the suspenison and chassis. I like to detail all the suspension and underside components along with the engine and assemble it all. Sometimes I have the chassis sitting with the wheels on for months waiting for the completed and detailed body to top it off. Painting the body is fun, too. I just don't like waiting between sanding, painting, drying, sanding, painting, drying, clearing, drying, wet sanding, clearing, drying, polishing, etc.

My favorite part is the painting, I love the feeling I get when the paint goes on smooth with no problems. My least favorite part of Model building would be the detailing, I hate the detailing.

Getting a good look at the Hydraulics and wishing they were street legal in Australia (Damn RTA
) and also looking at my wire wheels and imagining them on my WB Statesman I am planning on getting soon and also sniffing the fumes of various chemicals.
