as long as it is a vr6... they are fukkin quick...
i drove a 97 gti new on the lot, and it was sick how much power they had...
they are around the same weight as a lude, but the motor is a 6, so they have more torque. it is also only a 2 valve per cyl design, which gives more torque vs our complex layouts...
it is a fast car though, there are tons of people that were in sho that agreed that it could kill a civic si, and some that believe that it is a fair straight line match for a lude... as for corners though... not nearly as good...

vr6 is 2.8l motor w/ 176hp... similar torque number...
more torque than us
they weigh around 3k...
weight diff doesnt matter.
power to weight ratio does.
end of story.
i dont care if you weigh 300 lbs. if you only have 30 hp
and you race a car that is 3k w/300hp, it will be even.
but torque is important also... that changes the game a bit, ya know?

i only know so much!!!

i think it is most likely similar...
http://www.hondaprelude.com/resource.../usdmspecs.asp

if this site is monitored, it is on h o n d a prelude... go to resources, then 4gen, then usdm specs...
the vtec is 2932, the si is 2866
vtec power is 190, si is 160
to me the big deal is the tq, which is 158 and 156... whereas the vr6 has similar tq and hp... much closer... ya know?

power to weight of vtec is 15.4 lbs per hp,
si is 17.9
and tq is 18.55 and 18.37
whereas the jetta has
18.9 lbs per hp and 18.27 lbs per tq
the numbers are at the least similar, but it depends on where the power is at... that makes the diff... the vr6 has lower tq, and the prelude is higher on both...
helpin?

check the registration ticket in your wallet, doesn't it tell you how much your cars weighs.

hey... i reworked the numbers... the jetta was only 3198 (per scc in 97...i have it, honest), as opposed to 3290 that i was using... so that makes it
3198lbs/174hp= 18.379 lbs/hp
and
3198/181lb ft tq= 17.6685 lbs/ft lb tq
that makes it more feasible to be beaten by the jetta... and that isnt a bad thing.
remember though, it has to be a stick glx vr6. top o the line automobile there, all the bells and whistles.
so that is what you are lookin at.

just tryin to make the numbers known...
everyone thinks that their car is the shit ya know?
it isnt so unbeatable once you know the numbers... not like you cant beat one, but it wont be an easy romp... so you have to be good... thats all
just make sure your mods match somewhat, but remember that the same mods on a six get a bit more than a four...

the best way to tell would be to switch cars after, and race again
