my question.

Is there a 6 speed tranny that isn't AWD? If not Will I be better off using a domestic tranny and mating it to a RB26DETT? and in the long run to a high hp daily driver would it be better to build up SR or CA? or upgrade a RB. I'm looking for around 500-600 RWHP. any info would be appreciated

What Do You Want? All The Engines Are Good You Need To Figure Out What Its Going To Be Used For. The Rb25 Tranny Can Handle Alot More Hp Then People State. And Why Would You Want A 6 Speed? That Sixth Gear Has No Power.

I'm looking to build a all around performing car. I run mountian roads all the time and do alot of city driving. I want a car I can stoplight drag and pass a porche on a twisty mountain road.

Then An Sr Or Ca Will Give You The Best Balance But The Rb Will Allow For More Power And Be More Forgiving Seeing As Its An Iron Block. The Only 6spd I Know Of Is The S15 One But Its Not Worth It. You'd Be Happier With A Sr Or Ca If You Want To Rival A Porsches Handling.

He Meant For This Engine Choice, Meaning Bolt On.

Tml: What Are You Trying To Achieve Out Of The Car? $3500 - $4500 Is A Small Budget For A Car, Swap, Etc.

Re: RB SWAP FAQ FROM UNSTABLE. GOT AN RB QUESTION? LOOK HERE FIRST!

The Rb25det Fits In The S13 Without Much Modification (although You Can Go The Most Visually Appealing Method). Wiring The Computer Is As Easy And Leaving It Connected To The Engine And Passing It Through The Firewall. The Engine/computer Harness Is All Confined On The Engine. There Are Five To Seven Wires Than Need To Be Spliced In Order To Make This Swap Work.
