Cards are evil. I used to own one, cut it up and threw it away. I will probably never own one again if i can help it.

Credit cards are just good to build up credit so that you can actually finance or lease a car...

Never used a card in my life, but I'm thinking about getting a bank card.

Credit cards are a wonderful thing. It’s the user that has the problems. The key is to pay them off every month. Discover Card does the cash back which pays me back about 200 bucks a year. So I am buying things that I would buy anyway (food, car insurance, gas, books, etc.) and just pay straight out of my checking account every month. Don’t use it for impulse buys and you’ll be just fine. Use it for them and you’re setting yourself up for a never ending spiral of credit card debt.

No interest charges if you pay off the entire card each month. And cards are only worthless if you can't control your spending.

I don't usually carry around cash. I carry around my debit card, just as good and I can always cancel the card if it gets stolen, cash is just gone if it is stolen. I don't have a credit card, bad news, but I do need to get some revolving credit again.
