Good choice! But if/when you do move here, try to aviod the grey Japanese imports. A large percentage of them are dodgy to say the least. Generally, unless you import something yourself, NZ New is always the safest way to buy. My parents got bitten once before, and my whole family learnt from that lesson.

ewwww. . that sucks. . . what kinda problems would you expect from a grey market?
Probably could get a grey market that's already been owned by someone else in NZ for a couple of years . . haha maybe they'll work out the bugs ...

Usually the grey market cars have been pretty hammered. It's not unusual to find quite a bit of rust in some of them, and I'm always seeing them blowing out smoke all over the place. There is also quite a big problem with the mileage being wound back on alot of them. Plus the NZ new 200SX's look better than the Japanese Spec. Silvias anyway, especially the back bumper. The Silvias have just a straight painted rear bumper, where as the 200SX has some plastic around the number plate, which takes away that boring edge to it. Japanese Spec. Silvias are cheaper though, but not overly. They mostly go for maybe $3k NZD less than the NZ new cars, and the NZ new cars are usually always in far better condition like mine that I got reciently, where the engine bay looked new in an eight year old car!

ewwww . . . man that sux lol. . but, fortunately you have an actual SR powered S14. . haha, and I agree with the rear bumper. . I MUCH prefer the rear fog light trim piece around the back. . . the US spec S14s have the same bumper as in the zenki Silvias of Japan (bumper redesigned for MCS14, as you probably know. . ) .. I always kinda wanted to put the 200sx piece on there (I got it for free from a friend, actually lol). . . but uhm. . US plates are same size as japanese plates, but a bit shorter. .
