The problem with this site is: any ass or 14 year old kid can get on this thing and offer advice. WATCH OUT: SOME PEOPLE HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT.
So, the question at hand: What kinda muffler should you slap onto your 70 hp civic? Answer 1: None. You should spend money on your engine beforeyou start rolling around town gaining a bad rep for having a car that sounds like a lawnmower with 120k miles on it. Answer 2: DO NOT BUY RACTIVE, BOMB, or anything that is NOT MADE IN JAPAN, or HKS. There are plenty of bullshit companies (like ractive) making money offa stupid ricers that buy the cheapest parts available. Answer 3: Only buy a Cat-Back system, anything else is just gonna sound like you have a hole in your OEM exhaust. Thermal Research Cat Back, Apexi GT1 or even its N1 are good quality, but you gotta keep 'em clean (this is the loudest exhaust you can find for you car, outside of custom work); check out HKS Hiper Cat Back systems, also check Greddy EVO systems. these are all readily available and produce HP yields worthy of your money. The HKS is proven to have to best HP gain of any readily available Cat Back system for your car. But in the end, dont be a chump, do that engine swap before you put fuckin' lights and bells and fucking hoodpins and lite up windsheild sprayers and all that other rediculous shit. And if you got stickers on yer car, you better have something under the hood. you might get all the 16 year old ladies with your stock Civic DX with the CWest kit, but someone will HUMILIATE YOU one day. HAHAHA. End of rant.

Re: need help choosing a muffler for my Civic
Quote:
I've got the Greddy Evo and for me...it looks nice and sounds even better. I did spend a pretty penny for it but it gives me the performance I was looking for and also the look...Like posted earlier...you have to get what you want and what is taylored to your style... You have to take what you get here as just that...only advice. Some will be good...and some not so good...when it somes down to it...it's your $$ and your ride. As long as your happy with it....then that's all that matters. When it comes to my ride...I get the best quality $h!t possible because that's my investment and my biggest hobby and I'm proud of what I've done to it. You shoud feel the same...
