i could see this thread going bad places quickly, and it already has, with Canadians saying Americans are dumb and vica-versa. i for one don't take offence to it, although some of the stereotypes are starting to piss me off (arse? that's britain, dummy. and i say about, not aboot.) so i think this thread needs to go before it gets TOO out of hand...

Well, let's see:

Canada was a refuge for all the anti-war protestors during the Vietnam Conflict. Personally I would have redirected them south of the border, then they would've appreciated their home.

The U.S. flag has meaning to it, what the hell does a maple leaf stand for, or is it a poorly drawn canabis leaf?

And lastly, beer just plain sucks.

I think this thread is funny, and should be left open, if it offends you then leave and forget about it, best way to make it go away is to walk away. And I'll admit, most Americans are assholes, just because we are the farthest advanced or most powerful or w/e doesn't mean we can push other countries around. As for all this 'the american flag at least stands for something' crap. I wanna see you guys go aroudn the world with your oh so proud American flags sewn to your backpacks and find out how many people love you. I gurantee you that Canadians won't have to deal with that. But I don't want to go further than that point, I don't feel like degrading Americans because they aren't all bad, nor are all Canadians good.

Note to US: Take a hint and drop the negative stereotyping because we got a whole list of them lined up to fire right back, even if it's the only thing we can fire.

Seriously I am an american living in Kiwi land. Talk about being f**ked up! I have to listen all day long to people who can't speak right, pronouce words properly, and use slang that is way out there. Yet it rubs off on me and now I am doing it!

Then you make a mistake by calling an Aussie a Kiwi and vice-versa and all hell breaks lose. Sheesh talk about accents tooo. Sound like misguided POMS, that is Brits to the rest my fellow yanks and canuck neighbours.

What would you say If I told you through every form of media without any joking or remorse that your country was awful and nobody in the right mind would want to go there.

Guess what, some people can't take the pride of thier country lightly, especially given the last 3 years. Not everybody can shrug off degrading or insults as well as you.

As for a doing it in a thread like this, I'm essentially anonymous and am roughly >464 km away from any other member participating in this. I don't think there is a better way for me to communicate my opinions to people almost 10,000 or more km away, especially if they are willing to listen, for now anyways.

Well in this I mean as in our defenses, I dont know anyone who has better tanks, jets, or ships, yet China has a bigger army, and I think they have the most technologically advanced computers. But as being the most powerful, I'll stand behind that for a long time to come, we may have been hit, but I'd like to see anybody take on the US without using ICBMs.

Now that you broke into history with the burning of the white house, before that, look at the Revolutionary War. That set off revolutions for other coutries as well, without it, we might still be under a very cruel ruling.
