That whole "you drive a neon" crap might get old but it's still true. You just sick of hearing it cause nobody likes them. I'm gonna call BS on that 1/4 mile time too becuase I've seen DOHC neons with all the bolt ons do low 16's plus I really doupt a 4 door neon weighs 2300lbs stock. I might be wrong on that one but it just doesn't seem right.
Now to racing on a slippiong clutch....I've done it and who cares ? You're not gonna get the best ever time with one but you also don't have to worry about burning up your clutch. Plus I like to race for fun more than anything else and I'm sure most other people do too.

Go take a look on MSN, a base Neon sedan with a MTX transmission weighs in at a whopping 2324lbs. DOHC Neons with an MTX should run mid to low 15's stock with an experienced driver. SOHC should run high 15 to low 16 with an MTX and an experiend driver. The cars with automatics are a completely diferent story, they are as slow as $hit.

You are correct sir YES!! hahahah

I really have seen fast neons before like you said in the 15's pretty much stock. The whole experienced driver thing helps too. There are too many sh*$ heads who shift too early instead of at redline when they are racing; then they don't understand why the other guy with the same car runs 5-6 thenths better.

Ok I think the 14.8 is BS, but there is two guys here at the races that I go to that have dohc neons, don't know what they got but they give me a decent race they are hitting 14.9's, but they also have the drivers seat and nothing else in the car and one has a carbom fiber hood and a carbon fiber trunk. They also won't let you look under the hood like it is a big secret WTF. Anyway that time is possible with a heavy modded dohc, but noit a sohc, sorry unless you have a turbo or nitrous that is not possible, in fact I think you just copied it from krnxracer's sig you just changed one number, it is obveous so give it up already
