For those of you wanting to see the body. Has been painted in Enamel hunter green, awaiting cleaning tomorrow and a clear coat.

Nice job so far. Are you going with the Laredo or the Limited setup for the paint ? I think if you go for the limited color setup the cladding and the bumpers might look a little to fake. On the other hand, painting and texturing the cladding will also be difficult.

I'm goign to build the first one one exactly like my first car which was a 95 ZJ Laredo. The second one I'm going to build it after I had finished all the mods i did to it (Clear Lights, Performace Parts, Raised Suspension, Wheels, Tires...etc).

This ZJ always brings back memories of my younger years.

Good Luck

Definitely laredo. If this was a kit of a newer jeep like a '99 then I'd for sure go with limited. Thanks for reminding me!

Decided to give it a preliminary fitting of the body and bumpers, and as Tamiya quality, everything is fine.

Anyone know the stock height of this 1:1 equivalent? If possible I need the distance between the tire and lip of the wheelwell. I have a feeling mine is sitting too high in front, and too low in back.

The 1:1 equivalent is about 4 and a half inches. BTW if it is going to be a laredo the bumpers shouldn't be the body color.

Looks like the front is sitting too high up. This one has coil spring shocks right? secured by screws? Either the screw is not all the way in or you mismatched the screws front to back

Looking stunning !
I love the colour choice!

Could you maybe put a close up from the engine bay, as it seems so true-to nature!
