My first reaction was da'yam! Nice car. Lose the suede interior and the oar like shifter and you've got yourself a winner.

If you take a closer look you will see the Type R badge beside the shifter. This is a preview to what RSX-R will be. Japanese version is not always the same as US version.

Re: One Very Nice RSX *pics*

He's right, F20C. You can see that it does say "Concept R" in this pic.

I dont think this is a "preview" to what the US Type R is....I think its just that a concept. But i LOVE those wheels, they're custom built by acura....
i think our type R is going to look alot more like the JDM Type R then that.

Take one extremely competent performance sports coupe, add international touring car modifications, and the end result is the Acura RSX Concept an ultimate performance machine. Modified by American Honda’s accessory engineering and design group, this heavily-tuned RSX rides on a chassis track extended five inches wider than the stock RSX.

Meant to be a design exercise to explore the possibility of touring car racing, the body and chassis of the RSX Concept is comprised of racecar suspension tuning, large 19-inch “black chrome” wheels, prototype Michelin F1 rain tires, Brembo brakes, front and rear carbon fiber spoilers and diffusers, an underbody spoiler, dual center exhaust, custom HID headlights and massive fender flares to compensate for the increased track.

Inside, the driver cockpit has been modified to race specs with carbon fiber seats, race-style instrument panel, a S2000 gauge cluster with 9000 RPM redline and numerous other enhancements. Engine enhancements are consistent with a powerplant that would be competitive in the German DTM touring car racing series (about 500 horsepower). Overall, the RSX Concept characterizes the extreme side to the versatility of the RSX platform.
I just found that here.

That is a really nice car. To bad America doesn't carry those. Europe has everything. When i was there, the cars were really nice and cheap, for Americans. Never saw an Acura though. The inside looks kind of like an old-fashioned car, with the couple of buttons and wood paneling. But the car, ing definently, but loose the suede.

Pilfered from the pages of Sport Compact Car:

"The most intriguing RSX at the SEMA show came from Acura itself. It called the car the RSX Concept."

"Not much has been changed on the engine of this gunmetal beauty. The car just looked right. The track was widened by five full inches and the body stretched to cover it. Those 19-inch "black chrome" wheels are covered in prototype Michelin F1 rain tires and sit outside Brembo brakes. The front and rear spoilers and diffusers are carbon fiber, while an underbody spoiler, dual center exhaust and HID headlights make the whole thing appear like a DTM racer crossed with Godzilla in a tuxedo."

"The car's innards were matched to the exterior with carbon fiber seats, a new supplementary instrument panel, an S2000 gauge cluster and a bunch of other trim changes to keep consistent with the hyper-velocity theme."

"Acura built this car with a theoretical 500-hp powerplant in mind. We'll be surprised if that ever happens."

I really don't have time to search around for it right now, but there are pics of the ACTUAL RSX-R...which Honda claims will be the fastest FWD 4-banger ever (I hope).
