another reason is that you take a 90 crx or hatch and slap a b18c gsr motor in it and you have a 13 second rocket where as the stock d15 will do like 22's in the quarter thats another reason also it takes alot more money to get the stock motor from 90 to 170 then to put just a stock 170 hp motor in

...Strengthen the b18c's internals(sleeves, rods, low comp. pistons) add a turbo kit,up the boost with some tuning and you got 10s. Its that easy(not really )

Sport Compact Car Ultimate Swap Guide This was in the magazine a few years back. Basically what engine came in what car and what fits relatively easily in the cars.

Damn guys turbo isn't everything? You can go all motor if you like. Its harder to achieve the 12s and 11s but its more challenging and i like the sound better on an all motor anyways. Them blow off valves are so fucking annoying I have a b16 in my car which i already getting a b18c5 short block then put my b16 head on it. You can call it a "poor mans" type r or whatever. It has ctr (civic type r) pistons in it and that set up will get me into low 14s with everything STOCK but with a somewhat built bottom end. Just giving some examples just so you get the idea...

True. I was just giving an example as well. Personally I would like to have an all motor b20vtec(aka crvtec). I have a b16a right now but I want more power!!
