I just can agree - sometimes it is horrible to see the price of those kits and how much cleaning of the parts it is necessary, before you even can start the real built of the model

Re: Ferrari 250LM 1965 Le Mans Winner - MFH 1/24

Back to business on my LM, and this is the engine time...

First I assembly the parts and then paint them with Alclad's aluminium, over black base...

Then, I decide to weathered the V12. So I take some oils and mig's products to achieve an 60's sense on my build.

Also, start adding some bolts-nuts on it.

Then, some engine component painted and attached.

To the cylinder heads, I add some 0.6 bolts, from a top studio set and 4 little balls (included in the kit).

Afterwards, add them to the engine and attached an the first part of plug cords. The six Weber carburettors, also painted, weathered and glued on to the engine.

The upside down view.

Then, the ignition system completed and the engine looks like this.

More engine progress, follow on next update...

Thanks for watching!

George

Gorgeous, as usual. Great job with the tiny bolt heads; those things always give me Parkinson's disease for awhile!

Re: Ferrari 250LM 1965 Le Mans Winner - MFH 1/24

More engine progress today...
Started with the air funnels and their little pipes (need to cut them from a rod included in the kit).

Then, I corrected, a little a bit, the shape of air box, adding a ledge from photo-etch frame. Some bolts and a wash complete the story.

Then, I made the throttle cable for different wires and photo-etch parts from my spare box.

Afterwards, all of these parts, fitted on the engine block. Here where we are now...

Hope you like it.

George

Wow! This build is getting better and better with every post!

I love the P/E boltheads and metal intake trumpets. Very realistic!

Keep up the good work!
