They also had the 3000GT Spyder SL which I see WAY more of than the VR-4. It's a pricey thing, these open cars.

I gotta admit, the 3000GT looked extra funky with the hard convertible top closed. It's probably because the original bodylines form a hatchback, and the Spyder top turns it into a trunk rear.

As of right now, the new Mercedes SL seems to be the nicest looking, most naturally proportionate hardtop convertible.

I probly saw the Spyder SL, I don't see many VR-4s in my area.
